faith journey?
Hi, I’m Lisa, a 25-year-old who has been on a journey for the last 10 years to see what happens when I put my feet to the ground when it comes to faith.
Why am I writing on the topic of faith?
I’m no expert on this by any means, but I have spent the last decade walking with Jesus and seeing what a life submitted to God can look like. I’ve been to dozens of countries, gained some of the craziest stories, seen blind eyes opened, had my heart broken at injustice, and experienced some of the greatest joys imaginable. While I have a degree in Biblical Studies and have done numerous ministry schools, I have found that there are enough books, sermons, and podcasts on theology.
There is such little content on how we practically live out our faith in the “unspiritual” things of life.
I write to fill that void.
I write because I love finding the beauty of God in ordinary life.
To answer the question, “But how do I do that?”
To give practical steps to get you out of that slump.
To remind you of the life that’s possible with Jesus through stories.
To inspire you to dream and believe for more.
And ultimately, to help you fall in love with God more and more each day.
I’ve realized my faith has been made up of a thousand little “faith journeys” A moment to pray for a stranger, a two-day silent retreat, a trip across an ocean with $50 in my pocket, or a lunch with someone on the street.
It’s a million of these small moments of obedience that lead to a life of big faith.
My prayer is that through writing you realize how faith can look like action in your own life through small steps.
As Mother Teresa said, “We can [all] do small things with great love.”
After all, it is one-degree differences on a compass that lead you to an entirely different destination.
The practicals…
